Betty Jones

Betty Jones is a stirring and anointed vocal artist. Having been active in the church since the age of 10, by the time she was a teenager, her ministry in song had already began with her talented sisters. It was in this setting, that the power of her gift was unleashed; thus, her dream to minister in song was born.

Betty has spent many years as a lead vocalist in church choirs and as a Praise and Worship Leader. Her free flowing, prophetic ministry in song sets the atmosphere for vibrant praise and intimate worship. Her many years of studying the Word of God has given her a firm foundation in ministering to the lost and unsaved. Jones’s ministry and lifestyle reflect her total dedication to serving Christ. Through the hurt, pain and victories in her own life, we can experience her “realness” and “faith” in the Word of God alone.

Betty’s desire is to take the song of the Lord to the nations; to set the captives free. The founder of “Makar Ministry”, her mission is based on Isaiah 61:1-3:

The spirit of the Lord is upon me because
the Lord hath anointed me to preach good
tidings unto the meek… bind up the
broken- hearted… liberty to the captives… comfort all that mourn… to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Betty Jones’s experience has provided excellent training and preparation for the vision God has given her. She has served as background singer for Calvin Bridges and “Bridges”, having done numerous recording projects, radio, and television appearances, as well as, international ministry for nearly 15 years; she served three years as Praise and Worship Leader under Pastor Tom Bynum, “New Wine Ministry”, Chicago, Illinois; and has recently completed a project with Living Word Christian Center, Pastor William Winston, Sow-A-CD Project (conceived and produced by Morris “Butch” Stewart).

Betty Jones, singer and songwriter – called and appointed by God to minister in song. Her goal is to be totally used and available for God as a “warrior” and is always prepared for battle. As God directs her steps, she looks forward to ministering ultimate praise through recordings, videos and concert settings.
